Paediatric First Aid

 

The aim of this qualification is to develop learners' first aid skills to enable them to take initial action to deal with health emergencies that might occur in the workplace.

No minimum entry levels required but trainees will be assessed for basic levels of English proficiency. 

 

To achieve the Level 2 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work, learners need to achieve one mandatory unit.

 

CU1088 - Emergency First Aid Skills - 1credit

 

Learners may wish to undergo further training to cover other health and safety issues in the workplace such as:

  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Automated External Defibrillation
  • Fire Marshalling
  • Manual Moving and Handling
  • Risk Assessment

 

Learners may wish to take on additional first aid and/or health and safety responsibilities in the workplace. Opportunities for progression to further qualifications include:
